She was the winner of the search for the Nostalgia Chick contest, which took place over the summer of 2008. Lindsay currently holds the position of The Nostalgia Chick.
She also stated that she would continue posting reviews on her own site and with 'League of Super Critics' along with other projects, however would be dropping the title of Nostalgic Chick. Lindsay announced in January 2015 that she would be leaving the site early in the year, with her final review for Channel Awesome being 'Animorphs'. Her videos are now filed under "Team NChick." Lindsay originally joined TGWTG with the moniker "TheDudette," which she began to stop using in 2009 (but is still her username in the TGWTG forums). She has a Boston Terrier named Clio, who lives with her parents in Tennessee, and a pup named Kali who has appeared in various videos. A native of Tennessee, she moved to New York in 2003 to attend New York University, where she earned her degree in Cinema Studies from the Tisch School of the Arts.
Lindsay is a Masters graduate at the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California and resided in Los Angeles, California before returning to live in New York City.
